Contribution to knowledge of the economic situation in Prusac in the twentieth century

Apstrakt

The purpose of this paper is to present certain details of the economic situation in Prusac in the twentieth century. The data was obtained in 2008 during an ethnological study by experts from the Ethnology Department of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The research was con ducted during a two-week period in Prusac by direct obser vation and interviews. The informants were mainly older people whose memories extended back to the period between the two world wars. This ethnological folklore research of Prusac was the first of its kind in this old town, which is rich in history. This, and the hospitality of its residents, contributed to the extensive data on various aspects of life in Prusac gathered during the research, which was designed as a field study.
